Dear Mt. Olivet Family,

Praise God we have made it through the majority of this winter, and spring is on the horizon.

James 4:15 tells us that when we make plans, “…ye ought to say, ‘If the Lord will’, we shall live, and do this, or that.”  Unless something extraordinary occurs this summer that we could not have anticipated, Lord willing, our annual campmeeting will be held Friday July 30th-August 8th .  We plan to have hand sanitizer near high traffic areas of the camp, and provide masks for those who may prefer to wear one in the Tabernacle.  Those who feel it is not safe to hold campmeeting may stay home if they should choose.  We also have the option of holding our community meals outdoors in the Pavilion, if conditions this summer should warrant it.

We are also excited to announce that The Lord has provided donations that will fully fund the purchase and installation of a new playset, as well as other playground equipment in the meadow recreation area.

We want to thank you for your interest and participation in our association.  We realize that God deserves the glory for all that we have been able to accomplish, yet He works through people like you who are willing to serve and do His will.  Over the years Mt. Olivet has been a meaningful place for family and friends to gather for fellowship.  It has also been a place of worship and service for the advancement of the Christian faith upon which our nation was founded.

The Lord has preserved Mt. Olivet for more than 144 years, and has worked through this ministry to touch the lives of many people with the Gospel, and the truths of God’s Word.  I believe He still has great plans in store for us, if we continue to trust and follow Him.

May God’s richest blessings be yours throughout this coming season,

Gavin Whitcomb, Sr.

President, Mt. Olivet Union Campmeeting Association
